Next Steps

After the public commenting period closed August 16, public input was considered and the draft plan refined. The Draft Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan was presented to the Board of County Commissioners on September 12, 2017. The unadopted draft final plan is available for public review on the Documents and Maps page. Public comments are welcome and will be heard at the following meetings:

Throughout the project, a variety of community outreach events were held to solicit input about community values, key issues, opportunities, and goals. There were three distinct phases of community outreach:

  • Phase 1 (June – September 2016) focused on gathering information about your vision for the bike and pedestrian network in Arapahoe County and gaining a better understanding of community values and desires. A summary of this phase’s public involvement efforts can be found here.
  • Phase 2 (October 2016 – January 2017) offered opportunities for the public to provide specific input on problem areas and missing connections and share your ideas about where improved facilities should go.
  • Phase 3 (February – August 2017) allowed for your input on a draft network of bicycle and pedestrian facilities and priorities for implementation.
